The SimonKraft Resource Pack‘s stunning graphics have brought vanilla Minecraft to life. Players generally try texture packs for visual enhancements. Some resource packs excel at this. SimonKraft is an ideal resource pack that replaces messy textures with easier ones and brightens the color palette. SimonKraft’s resource sets’ best achievement is texture noise and variance reduction. The source pack increases texture resolution to 128x for cleaner looks. Textures are less pixelated and the world is square at 128x. However, texture upscaling alone cannot make Minecraft beautiful. SimonKraft enhanced many textures. The developer claims to have modified 80% of the basic textures. The updated textures are more detailed. Ores, timber, sand, gravel, bricks, stone, and more have new textures. Sidewalks, windows, trees, grass, plants, water, crops, bookcases, crates, tiles, etc. have new textures.
SimonKraft’s resource pack improves HUD and GUI as well as graphics. Upgraded item icons make the interface crisper and more colorful. Sky and ocean textures have been updated to match SimonKraft’s style. Many SimonKraft resource bundle graphic changes evoke vintage anime. When creating the resource pack, SiMonko was inspired by Studio Ghibli’s art. The Tokyo-based animation studio Studio Ghibli is well-known. The 2020 resource pack has tens of thousands of downloads due to its inventiveness and detail. While there is no official shader recommendation, it’s worth trying alternatives. A strong system is needed to run the 128x resolution and shader set, which will affect frame rate. SimonKraft is hardware intensive and may not be suitable for PvP, which requires high frame rates to reduce input latency.

How to install SimonKraft Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download the SimonKraft texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn’t affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
