Unlike some other developers who spend most of their time on the modeling process, Equanimity was created in less than a month with no more than an hour of work per day. According to the creator, this was mainly because he wanted to continue releasing frequent updates without having to spend too much of his free time. It can be seen as an attempt to show anyone that they too can create a decent, streamlined resource pack without putting all their energy into it. Equanimity comes with a tweak for every single texture in the game. Some blocks have a kind of gothic, medieval feel. Since the resolution is double that of Minecraft's default textures, all the models look very robust and solid, even though they were made in a short time frame. Metal blocks specifically give off a realistic sheen that makes their usually expensive crafting recipes worthwhile. It's a slightly lighter deck overall, which makes it a nice change from the usually gloomy world of Minecraft. Some blocks, such as stone bricks, have almost imperceptible modifications, but they are few and far between. The creator seems to have thought of everything – even if the resolution has been doubled compared to the original textures, there is practically no slowdown with Equanimity. However, Optifine is one of the recommendations if you want to maintain optimal performance and have all textures rendered correctly.

How to install the Equanimity Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download the Equanimity texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
