Minecraft is not exactly a realistic looking game. The graphics actually look rather cartoony and flat in design. Therefore, the use of supplements such as Mad Pixels Source Pack may seem like a bad idea. Because the purpose of resource packs is to give Minecraft a completely different look. Although the source pack contains textures that may seem quite simple at first glance – and other texture files that may look like they were pulled directly from the source files, the redesign done in this source pack gives a breath of fresh air to the graphic design and saves the game's original feel of minecraft. It's also a great resource pack for low-end computers because the resource pack is made for low resolutions.

Although the Mad Pixels Cartoony texture pack is not that new, it is compatible with the latest version of the game as well as Minecraft 1.14.x versions. It's been a few years since the resource pack was first released. It has also been released as a completed project, which means there are no updates or new additions to the resource pack for now. There probably won't be any more updates until Minecraft 1.15 is released. But it's just a possibility as there is no confirmed news about the resource pack update. But don't let that put you off, it's a well-made resource pack that doesn't miss a thing. Almost every single texture is changed in this resource pack. This is a great resource pack if you want to change Minecraft and give it a fresher look but still keep the same good old Minecraft look and feel.

How to install Mad Pixels Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download the Mad Pixels texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
