For players bored of the vanilla Minecraft experience, Relatively improved Mickey Joe's default resource pack may prove to be an ideal upgrade. This is a simple texture pack that changes the default visuals in Minecraft and offers an immersive experience. Originally designed by the developer for his personal enjoyment only, feedback from other players encouraged Mickey Joe to publish the resource pack and provide constant updates. Developed by MushirMickeyJoe, the resource pack has received positive feedback for the numerous upgrades it brings over vanilla Minecraft. Among the many changes, the resource pack includes new 3D models for llama heads, custom skins for villagers, 3D models for door elements, improved weapons, custom sky backgrounds for Mushroom Biomes and Jungles to Aqua, and many other texture improvements. The tweaks included in the resource pack offer a wide variety of changes that don't change the design and feel of the vanilla experience, but rather enhance it. The textures in the Relatively Improved Mickey Joe Default Source Pack are more colorful, more vivid, and have more detail. What's impressive about Mickey Joe's Relatively Enhanced Base Pack is that it was designed by a single user and includes a wide range of visual improvements.

The developer has also been working on adding 3D models to improve Minecraft for himself and all players who use his resource pack. One important change this resource pack adds is the removal of noise found in some of the default textures. Existing textures have been tweaked and improved over several upgrades by MushirMickeyJoe, who has continued to work on the source pack due to positive feedback from the Minecraft community. Originally posted on Reddit in 2017, the source pack has had many iterations and updates. Some of the changes that the resource pack adds are also a result of community feedback, as MushirMickeyJoe is an active member among Minecraft players. To enjoy Mickey Joe's Relatively Improved Default or also known as Hardly a default resource pack by Mickey Joe, OptiFine is required. To enjoy the new and improved textures, linked textures and 3D models, the tool must be installed. All textures that have been tweaked and replaced by the source pack are at 32x resolution. Using 32x resolution for textures brings a true vanilla Minecraft experience. It is also not resource intensive, allowing players with older computers that may not be able to run modern games to install and use it. At the same time, the source package is relatively small and easy to download. Installation is the same as other resource packs that use OptiFine for Minecraft.

How to install Barely Default Resource Pack:

Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
Download the Barely Default texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
Click “Options” in the main menu.
Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
Click “Done”.
Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
Click “Done” again.
The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
