mIf you’re looking for a resource pack that can provide graphics and visuals you’ve never seen in Minecraft, vonDoomCraft resource pack is one to sign off. One of the most unique features of this pack is that it is inspired by a horror theme, which is not common in the world of Minecraft. With highly detailed and incredibly designed features, the vonDoomCraft texture pack brings gamers a visual experience unlike anything you’ve ever experienced. The vonDoomCraft deck’s color palette is dark and moody, and it also features some incredibly unique textures. You should be aware that vonDoomCraft’s source pack has not been updated for a long time and will likely not receive any further updates from the original authors. Unfortunately, there were no fans among Minecraft players to update this pack for newer client versions. But let’s not lose hope, maybe someday someone will decide to restore this amazing resource pack.
However, there are enough customization aspects that you keep discovering more and it will take some time to see what this resource pack has to offer to your gaming experience. This resource pack features custom designed monster textures and some animated items, including a diamond sword with a chainsaw texture. The stone sword has the texture of Thor’s hammer and also flashes lightning. Since this packaging is a bit scary, it is not recommended for young children who are easily bothered by scary visuals. vonDoomCraft creator Emperor Doom has made the pack available for multiple resolutions, including 32x, 64x, and 128x. While you’ll be able to run a lower resolution on almost any device, it’s only recommended to use 128x resolution if you’re playing Minecraft on a PC with mid-range or high-end hardware. Using 128x on other devices can give you frame rate issues that leave you with a less than desirable gaming experience.

How to install vonDoomCraft Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download the vonDoomCraft texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn’t affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
