Bewitched Resource Pack 1.20 / 1.19

The Enchanted Resource Pack is a recent attempt to mix cartoon and ghost aspects. As Minecraft becomes older, all the new resource packs seem to follow the same formula without any innovation. They simply improve textures without adding anything intriguing to make people want to download and utilize the pack. Bewitched appears to be breaking the norm and adding something new. Many texture packs that offer new features lose everything that makes Minecraft unique. Bewitched modifies much of the game’s visuals, but the Minecraft world’s pixelated look remains. This collection looks to combine Halloween, comic book, and gothic influences. One of the biggest changes is the absence of 3D ores in Vanilla. When viewed from the side, the ores’ minerals protrude from the stone substrate. This may not seem necessary, but it improves mining and gives the caverns a unique aspect. A block’s ore density depends on its type. The deck’s vivid color palette is startling given its spooky/cartoonish theme. It has grayish, blood red, deep yellow, and purple tones. Colors and feel are similar to RPGs. It’s not overdone, so you won’t lose vanilla Minecraft’s atmosphere. The visual artwork shows how much care put into this collection. More than a dozen patterns of various heights and widths are more unique and appealing than the original game’s drawings.

The developer describes them as “spooky and cute” with a focus on night, sunsets, vegetation, and animals. These paintings match the Bewitched resource pack’s gothic theme. Mobs have also been upgraded. As you can expect, they look scarier. Due of their designs, even climbing plants are dangerous. Only the Nether may be lacking. The pack’s crimson makes the Nether pallid and less colorful than other dimensions. This is subjective, so you may like it better now. The creator suggests Optifine even though the software doesn’t need any add-ons. Without it, some textures may not load. It also helps lessen performance effect. All textures in the collection are 32×32, double the resolution of Minecraft. While not difficult, lower-end machines may struggle to render all the elements without decreasing FPS. Game crashes are another problem for older technology. Custom fonts in the package may conflict with graphics device drivers. To fix this, delete the “font” folder, which loads the game but removes the package font. The Bewitched texture collection supports many shaders. However, they can cause font issues and black text boxes. If this happens, disable shaders or delete “font” folder. All of these potential difficulties can be overwhelming, but remember that packaging is still being developed. It’s just 70% done, so be patient or tell the developers if there are concerns.

Bewitched should be compatible with all of these versions of Minecraft: 1.20.6 – 1.20.5 – 1.20.4 – 1.20.3 – 1.20.2 – 1.20.1 – 1.20 – 1.19.4 – 1.19.3 – 1.19.2 – 1.19.1 – 1.19 – 1.18.2 – 1.18.1 – 1.18 – 1.17.1 – 1.17
