You can’t overlook how stunning resource set photographs and videos are. These promotional visuals are meant to impress, however installing the resource bundle may not look so good. All those wonderful visual effects require something extra on top. Minecraft needs shader packs to look awesome. ProjectLUMA is one. Passion project: ProjectLUMA shader set. Inspired by KUDA shaders, the shader set’s developers aimed to produce a spiritual successor. The shader suite was built from scratch using new code to overcome some of the core issues most shader packages face. The ProjectLUMA crew prioritizes performance. Shader packs are hog sources. Installing new shaders on an older PC will drastically reduce Minecraft performance. ProjectLUMA’s performance loss is less severe. Since its introduction in late 2019, the ProjectLUMA Shader Pack has not gotten any free updates. Developers finished the shader pack and released it for several Minecraft versions. This shader pack can be updated by supporting the creators on their patron page.

ProjectLUMA is the KUDA shader’s spiritual successor and looks similar. It makes several significant Minecraft enhancements. Most source packs work with it, but vanilla Minecraft is significantly affected. The shader set adds features. They create new water reflections that are noticeable. It enhances ambient occlusion and motion blur. Shaders create realistic water waves to water. Developers added dirty lens, auto impact, POM, and other features. Minecraft’s sky is one of its biggest enhancements. ProjectLUMA’s Godrays make the Sun look different and improve lighting effects. It also impacts ground shadows. Meanwhile, the clouds are photorealistic. These improvements are visible at night. All ProjectLUMA shader enhancements and features effect game textures. ProjectLUMA cleans textures even with the x16 or x32 source pack. Colors and details are brighter. Install the ProjectLUMA Shader Pack with OptiFine. Because it changes the sky and water, it needs this tool’s specific features. Because ProjectLUMA adds numerous new features and effects to Minecraft, frame rate may drop. Unfortunately, functionalities cannot be disabled. Install shader packs with source packs that use x64 texture resolutions for best performance.

Features:

  1. Download and install Minecraft.
  2. Open the Minecraft launcher and set your game profile for the version of Minecraft you want to launch. – select the “Installation” tab in the top menu, click “New Installation”, select your preferred version of Minecraft in the “Version” drop-down list and click “Create”.
  3. Download and install Optifine.
  4. Open the Minecraft launcher and select the newly created Optifine.
  5. Download the projectLUMA shader set from the download section below.
  6. Start Minecraft.
  7. Go to Options > Video Settings > Shaders and click “Shaders Folder” to open the shaderpacks folder.
  8. Insert the downloaded projectLUMA shader set (.zip file). step 5 to the .minecraft\shaderpacks folder you opened step 7.
  9. In the game, select projectLUMA Shaders from the list and click “Done”.
