Stay true to the original feel of Minecraft SixtyGig resource set upscales graphics to 64x resolution without making specific textures stand out more than usual. It gives the game a lively, cartoon-like look with icons and items popping off the screen in vibrant colors. Shadow effects are also available to enhance your visual experience. As the pack stays true to the vanilla world, the original feel of Minecraft is preserved and the basic shapes of the items remain the same. This has the added benefit of allowing for comfortable multiplayer gameplay. You want to know that your builds look nice in the vanilla world so that everyone can enjoy your masterpieces without having to switch back and forth between the original textures and the source pack.
Since the SixtyGig resource pack was created specifically to run with MCPatcher, some modifications must be made before the resource pack can be used if another mod loader such as Forge is installed. Therefore, it may be worth going through a little extra effort to get the full experience that the SixtyGig resource pack can offer. It is also only compatible with older versions of Minecraft. At this point, it was recently updated to 1.7.x and there are plans to make it compatible with the latest updates, but the SixtyGig resource pack probably won’t work with Minecraft 1.8.x. and up. While this is an understandable source of frustration, this pack offers amazing textures that can make up for having to roll back the game to an earlier version. Rest assured that the authors are working hard to ensure that you can enjoy this amazing resource pack in whatever form of play you desire.
SixtyGig should be compatible with all of these Minecraft versions: 1.7.10 - 1.7.9 - 1.7.4 - 1.7
