Aeon Extension is a resource pack that works a little differently than others. Unlike other packs, Aeon Extension works by updating many textures and as a result they give Minecraft an extra exterior or more sci-fi look. It also adds some custom sound effects that make it look generally true and interesting. Aeon Extension resource pack is beyond doubt very detailed when it comes to updating non-item textures such as bows, weapons, armor and blocks, as well as the GUI and UI. Instead of pieces of meat and hearts, the packaging is filled with colors that are muted, as well as flashing lights. Zombies and villagers who look like zombies have full spacesuits. The monsters look like they are from outer space too.

However, the villagers suit seemed to do absolutely nothing to help this poor zombie villager survive. These packs also come with attached textures built in, although you may still need to use CTM mode in case you have one, which is good. It also offers mod support for several mobs differently. So you can most likely get a good CTM mod from the support material list. The armor you choose will also make you look reasonably different than usual. Whether it's something difficult or more valuable to find than iron and leather, armor will definitely make you look like you're out exploring on another planet. You won't look like a normal Steve who randomly shows up in a wide field one day. Plus, spiders can seem scary. Endermen can also look like they're straight out of the new Tron movie.

How to Install Aeon Main & Aeon Extension Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download the Aeon Main & Aeon Extension Texture Pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
