The Smooth Operator resource pack it mixes elements from a lot of existing decks. But don't be fooled, this pack represents a unique opportunity – one that allows you to enjoy many things not yet available in vanilla Minecraft. Yes, this resource pack borrows ideas here and there, but it also brings new things to the game in its own right. Not only will you see new textures, but you'll experience different textures for the same object. For example, many blocks and rocks contain more than one face that you can see. Instead of playing the same old Minecraft that starts to look exactly the same after a while, you'll experience a brand new game with lots of texture-related surprises. However, this comes at a price. Your computer may be taxed more than usual due to the new 256x resolution graphics.

If your PC can handle it, the Smooth Operator Source Pack will change the way you see (and play) Minecraft forever. Then again, if you think installing such a resource-hungry package will drop your FPS to the floor, you should skip this one. This resource pack requires manpower on your part – but it's worth it. There are countless new features that you get when you install the Smooth Operator source package. For example, in Minecraft, when you stack one bed on top of another, you get the strange looking result of floating beds. With this resource pack, folding beds will result in a neat looking bunk bed. This resource pack smoothes everything out when it comes to textures. There are many better looking and smoother textures that you will see when installed. If your computer can handle it, it's time to give it a try!

How to install the Smooth Operator Resource Pack:

Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
Download the Smooth Operator texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
Click “Options” in the main menu.
Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
Click “Done”.
Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
Click “Done” again.
The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
