With thousands of sophisticated high-definition resource packs, it's no easy task to create one that people will appreciate – especially if it focuses on simplicity and understatedness. The scene has been overcome with hardware-dependent textures that try to make the game as bulky as possible. Still, OGZCraft Resource Pack managed to make a name for himself without reinventing the wheel. OGZCraft marks OfficialGoneZero's debut as a resource pack developer, which is a surprise given how polished and well-implemented it is. The particularly interesting part is the resolution of the pack is only 8×8 – half of the original Minecraft textures. While this may turn some users off, it's a very welcome feature for those with poor computers who want to enjoy a smooth experience. In an attempt to be unique, many similar resource packs come with unattractive extras that make the game look like it was drawn by a child.

To counter that, OGZCraft isn't trying to be flashy by filling in the game's original color coding. Instead, it stays true to the essence of Minecraft. While it's true that you won't notice much change once you enter the world, the real beauty of this pack lies in its high-quality textures that can retain all the details even at 8×8 resolution. The most fundamental difference is the images, which take inspiration from the Pokémon franchise. The armor also received several additional modifications, mainly gold sets. Having been in development for some time now, the OGZCraft source pack is pretty much flawless. Handcrafted textures can paint a good picture of how much effort went into each individual block, item, and mob/NPC. If you want to take a break from all the complex alternatives and get back to what made Minecraft what it is today, there's no better way than with OGZCraft.

How to Install OGZCraft Resource Pack:

Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
Download the OGZCraft texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
Click “Options” in the main menu.
Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
Click “Done”.
Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
Click “Done” again.
The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
