The Quake is one of the most popular franchises and has gained a large following over the past few years. Therefore, most minecraft and Quake players were not surprised when the QuakeTex source pack was developed for minecraft, which was inspired by the Quake franchise. Compared to other minecraft packs, QuakeTex source package is relatively new. It has only been available to players a week ago. Compared to the original minecraft textures, whose visuals are quite simple, QuakeTex is a very attractive resource. Using the pack, the game will get a dark look and players will be completely immersed in the game. Although the graphics used in the original minecraft by default are simple, some players may find them attractive at first and become immersed in the game. However, after playing the game for some time, the player may find that the visuals are a bit boring, which can make the gaming experience less enjoyable.
Players looking for a darker game should consider the QuakeTex texture pack. The graphical user interface (GUI) and block textures have been modified to resemble Quake. While the original minecraft feel remains unchanged, mainly the blocks for the world are retextured, making it look rough and really dark. Because the texture pixels are less bright, the ambient lighting is lower. Therefore, more flashlights or other light sources are needed. A player should be well prepared and have the right tools for the game. Dirt, grass, wood, sand, and rock are the most used blocks and most of the changes are built into these blocks. While brighter colors are used for some gems like emeralds or diamonds, the color pack for the resource pack is pretty much the same as the original earthquake. Since the resolution of the QuakeTex texture is 16×16, it does not require a lot of computer resources. Any computer that is used for minecraft can be used for this resource pack.
QuakeTex should be compatible with all of these Minecraft versions: 1.14.4 – 1.14.3 – 1.14.2 – 1.14 – 1.13.2 – 1.13.1 – 1.13
