The Arestian's Dawn resource pack is traditionally one of Minecraft's best RPG decks, and for good reason. It is compact and hassle-free, easy to install and run, and compatible with most other commonly used resource sets. The RPG pack includes updated icons for an assortment of buffs and player-affecting stat levels such as hunger, speed, strength and weaknesses, health levels, poison, and more. The meticulous attention to detail shows up elsewhere in Minecraft. Weapons are updated. Swords, armor, map items, and more get menacingly fantastic upgrades inspired by traditional fantasy elements that make them look bigger, meaner, and tougher. The map itself, one might say, looks even more worn and battered from repeated use. Even seemingly unimportant things are improved.

For example, the snowy grass blocks in this pack get tufts of grass hanging from the sides, indicating to the player that they are not just dirt blocks. Those small, meaningful details that don't appear in traditional Minecraft can be found in this enhanced experience. However, Arestian's Dawn resource pack suffers from one small problem that many other resource packs are currently facing. The minecraft client update to version 1.14+ has resulted in various new blocks, monsters and in-game items to be added to resource packs. The last update for the Arestian's Dawn resource pack was before the Minecraft client was updated to version 1.8, so it doesn't yet have graphics for all these new additions, even though it's been months or even years. However, let's hope and assume that someone is already working on this problem and that it will be removed soon.

How to install Arestian's Dawn Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download The Arestian's Dawn texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
