Designing a resource pack for Minecraft isn’t just for experts. Anyone with graphic design software or a pixel editor has the potential to create a deck. But why bother when you have access to something like this Urbancraft 2.0 Resource Pack? Urbancraft 2.0 is a high-resolution resource pack that brings urban landscapes to life. With a resolution of 256x, it sits head and shoulders above the competition. Most other resource packs are 128x or lower, some come in 16x. While the lighter 128x Urbancraft is also available, the 256x is by far the best. The level of detail and crisp, clean lines are an urban planner’s dream. While Urbancraft 2.0 is awesome, it has a few quirks. Unlike most resource packs, Urbancraft 2.0 was designed specifically for competition. The challenge was to create a state-of-the-art resource pack.
As such, development was focused on aesthetics for creative play rather than usability in survival mode. Urbancraft 2.0 generates ultra-realistic visuals in creative play, but it won’t be the best set of textures for survival. Let’s be honest, there aren’t many modern resource packs that match Urbancraft2.0. The urban landscape is vibrant and incredibly vibrant. The contrast between indoor and outdoor lighting works exceptionally well. The harsh artificial light of the office space contrasts beautifully with the bright, natural light seen through the windows. Attention to detail is what this deck is all about and what makes it so good. Even so, despite the quality resolution and great graphics, Urbancraft 2.0 really shouldn’t be considered a resource pack for everyone. Of course, it allows you to create stunning modern architecture in creative mode, but not much else. If you want to do more than design a realistic urban landscape, then this resource pack is not for you.

How to install Urbancraft 2.0 Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download the Urbancraft 2.0 texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn’t affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
