From the textures themselves to the GUI and fonts Soulbound resource pack covers every aspect of Minecraft and transforms it into a complete, unique experience. While the seemingly low resolution of just 16×16 might put you off, don't let that fool you – the Soulbound texture pack brings some exclusives to the table. It's pretty clear from the get-go that this resource pack embraces simplicity while adding a fair amount of grit to the game's overall feel. The font that Soulbound introduces is very similar to that of old-school RPG games, which goes well with the grim-looking textures. The world may look a little strange when you first enter the game. This is because the Soulbound resource pack does not have its own color palette. This means that one color can have different shades, saturation, etc.

This will cause a slight deviation between blocks at first, but once you get used to it, it will be the only thing that makes this resource pack unique. The ore and stone textures are also completely reworked to create a completely different atmosphere when you're down in the caving, but even that will grow on you over time. A big advantage of Soulbound is that it preserves the original resolution of Minecraft textures. This means that no matter how low-end your computer is, you won't notice any change in game performance. This becomes even more important when you realize that there aren't many low-res resource packs that feature brand new GUIs and fonts. For a better experience, many users recommend using Optifine's meshed texture feature to get rid of annoying lines and inconsistencies between blocks.
SoulBound should be compatible with all of these Minecraft versions: 1.11.2 – 1.11 – 1.10.2 – 1.10 – 1.9.4 – 1.9 – 1.8.9 – 1.8.8 – 1.8.1 – 1.8.6 – 1.8 – 1.7.10 – 1.7.9 – 1.7.4 – 1.7
