In addition to various elements in the world receiving new textures, Simply Modern also touches the player's GUI and menus. The inventory has a very minimalist but modern design. Everything is easy to control and things look clearer. The same was done for the player HUD. Hit points are easier to distinguish and track, while item slots are rendered as small as possible. To better utilize the new inventory design and player HUD, the icons in the game have been redesigned. They reflect new textures and have a simpler aspect. This was done for all types of ores and blocks, food, crafting items, weapons, armor, etc. Finally, player textures were also changed. Now they are much easier. To some extent, players no longer look like humans, but like brightly colored robots. This can be useful, especially in PvP. What the resource pack hasn't touched on are the sky and water textures. If you want to improve them as well, you can experiment with different shader packs. Game performance is what most gamers are concerned about. This is most important for PvP players where you don't want framerate drops or choppy gameplay. Fortunately, Simply Modern's resource pack is not demanding. Since it doesn't increase texture resolution to ridiculous levels and doesn't introduce anything fancy like dynamic textures, the resource pack doesn't affect game performance. This makes it an ideal choice for PvP players who want to play the game with a resource pack that won't cripple their systems. However, if you want to get the most out of Simply Modern's resource set, you'll also want to install a shader set, which will significantly reduce your FPS. Installation is straightforward.
