A lot of source packs re-package the same content and textures and stitch them together in the hope of producing something that looks original. Sharpness V resource set was developed to be original and introduce meaningful changes to vanilla Minecraft. Conceived as a PvP resource pack, Sharpness V focuses on everything related to PVP without changing the identity of the game. To achieve this, all the textures that Sharpness V features are 100% original, hand-crafted by the developers behind the resource pack. The developers said that the ultimate goal is to introduce new textures for all items in Minecraft. Being a PVP resource pack, the main focus of the Sharpness V texture pack is weapons and armor. All weapons and armor in the game received new textures and higher resolution. The new textures are now at 32x, which is a higher resolution than the default 16x resolution in vanilla Minecraft.

The new, redesigned textures stay true to the texture pack's name and appear sharper and much brighter. To achieve this, noise has been reduced and the higher pixel density certainly helps add more detail to blocks and items. The colors are also more saturated, which removes some of the gray aspects of Minecraft and makes it significantly more colorful. New textures have been introduced for other objects such as trees, food, grass, leaves, plants, flowers and all types of blocks. Since they are all hand-crafted from scratch by the development team, the process of replacing all default textures takes some time, and not all textures in vanilla Minecraft have been replaced yet. Since the resource pack was developed at 32x resolution, some players may experience minor performance degradation compared to vanilla Minecraft which uses 16x. It's still a light resource pack and doesn't require a monster computer to function properly.

How to install Sharpness V PvP Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download the Sharpness V PvP texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
