ModernArch Realism Resource Pack 1.21 / 1.20

One of the excellent resource collections for newer Minecraft versions is ModernArch Realism. Downloading one of the many free resource packs can disappoint. However, ModernArch Resource Pack should satisfy. ModernArch employs genuine photos instead of cartoony and boxy Minecraft textures, unlike most others. The game uses actual stone, wood, and brick photographs to look realistic. Popular minecraft content creator PackMinecraft designed the new resource pack with realism in mind, not cartoon designs. It’s not the first realism-focused Minecraft resource pack, but it’s better than others. ModernArch’s muted colors contrast with many resource packs’ bright artwork.

The new textures give buildings dimension and appear better than the basic default visuals or other new resource packs. Lighting quality also stands out. ModernArch is my top choice due to its strong lighting effects. The finest graphics are achieved with full 512×512 resolution for texturing. For low-end systems, a resource pack with a resolution of up to 128×128 can be used to enable graphics. As with previous high-end resource packs, full resolution without powerful hardware can cause frame rate issues. New graphics require shaders to perform well. The developer advises downloading the ModernArch-compatible SEUS shader. The pack is free for 128x, however donations support 512x and 1024x.

How to install ModernArch R Resource Pack:

1. Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
2. Download the ModernArch R texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
3. Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
4. Click “Options” in the main menu.
5. Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
6. Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
7. Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
8. Click “Done”.
9. Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
10. Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.

    QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn’t affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.

11. Click “Done” again.
12. The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
