You might be tempted to think that MineLoL Resource Pack it's related to League of Legends, but it's not. It's also anything but funny despite using LoL, which stands for laugh out loud, in the title. It's nothing more than a MOBA inspired joke or resource pack. MineLoL is a resource pack that is supposed to bring significant improvements to Minecraft and, as the developers say, put a smile on the face of players. The first thing the MineLoL resource pack does to improve the visuals is to increase the texture resolution. It uses 64x textures instead of the standard 16x. Increasing the texture resolution may strain players using older systems, but on modern PCs the texture pack should run just fine at reasonable frame rates. Many textures in the game have been replaced. Instead of being the same cartoon blocks, some, marble, limestone, sand and other block types now look much closer to how they would look in real life.

The same has been done with certain mobs in Minecraft. Wolves have realistic textures that are less pixelated due to the increased resolution. The same goes for cows and sheep. Other objects in the game also benefited from higher textures and less pixelation. Paintings are one such example. There are new animal images that have almost the same detail as the photos. The interface has also been changed. The MineLoL resource pack brings many new item icons that simply look significantly better than what they used to be in vanilla Minecraft. Finally, the textures for the sky have been improved. Clouds are now less blocky. They are photorealistic. More details have been added to flowers, grass, trees, fences, doors, windows, fire, chests and many other objects in vanilla Minecraft. Water also looks significantly better with improved detail and reflections. Because it changes the sky textures, MineLoL must be installed with Optifine HD as it requires their special features.

MineLoL should be compatible with all of these Minecraft versions: 1.12.2 – 1.12 – 1.11.2 – 1.11 – 1.10.2 – 1.10 – 1.9.4 – 1.9 – 1.8.9 – 1.8.8 – 1.8.1 – 1.8.6 – 1.8 – 1.7.10 – 1.7.9 – 1.7.4 – 1.7 – 1.6.4 – 1.6.2

How to install MineLoL Resource Pack:

Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
Download the MineLoL texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
Click “Options” in the main menu.
Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
Click “Done”.
Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
Click “Done” again.
The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
