The KDesp resource pack includes many of KDesp’s own 3D models and follows Minecraft’s default art style. The game seems like vanilla Minecraft, but more alive, to the inexperienced eye. All the other 3D models in the set give you more to create and do. It’s not the only resource pack that does these things, but it’s one of the best at expanding the visuals while maintaining the game’s art design and adding new material. In creating the KDesp resource pack, the aim was to maintain Minecraft’s 16×16 default texture resolution while adding additional items and blocks.

All new features are carefully textured to match the original game’s design and graphic direction. The KDesp resource pack closely matches Minecraft’s appearance and feel, but the texture work and 3D modeling add subtle and unique touches. This resource pack’s textures are more detailed and clear while still looking Minecraft-appropriate. The pack’s developer worked hard to produce a new color scheme that mimics the original but adds brightness and vibrancy to make the graphics stand out. Anyone who wishes to play as near to vanilla as possible while slight yet beautifuly upgrading Minecraft’s looks should use this resource pack.

How to install KDesp’s Better Default Resource Pack:

1. Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
2. Download KDesp’s Better Default texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
3. Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
4. Click “Options” in the main menu.
5. Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
6. Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
7. Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
8. Click “Done”.
9. Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
10. Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.

    QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn’t affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.

11. Click “Done” again.
12. The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
