The Star Wars series is a favorite of many members of the Minecraft community. This love for this amazing universe also fueled the creativity and adaptation of many of the game's assets to resemble Star Wars objects or themes. Over the years, we've seen many great Minecraft resource packs that have put a lot of effort into bringing this amazing franchise to the game. While some have been more successful, we have seen plenty of failed projects. With this sour taste, you sometimes feel like less is more. You don't have to completely change the visuals in Minecraft to give it a Star Wars feel. If you have the same desire for simple resource packs that add a slight touch of Star Wars-inspired variety, Glowing 3D lightsabers resource pack may be just what you are looking for. The original developer of the resource pack is called creatorLabs. In 2018, he released the Glowing 3D Lightsabers source pack. At the same time, he released several other packs and add-ons. While it may not have a compelling story behind the creation of this resource pack, it has gained a reasonable following. Glowing 3D lightsabers have been downloaded more than 400,000 times on several sites where they were published. It has also received several updates as the developer is still an active member of the community and provides continuous support for his projects. When you load the Glowing 3D Lightsabers texture pack, you expect to see lightsabers that resemble those from Star Wars. You would not be wrong in this assumption. The source package is extremely simple or basic. Many visual aspects of the game are unchanged. What it does is just change the default textures of the swords found in Minecraft to emission textures that glow. However, considerable efforts have been made. Swords no longer look like swords. They are less pixelated and now look like proper lightsabers. Glowing 3D Lightsabers features 5 different swords. Each sword is inspired by a Star Wars character.

Each has a distinctive color and some even have a special design or shape, such as the red that represents Kylo Ren's lightsaber. All five swords look amazing, especially at night. When used in PvP and PvE, they become even more fun if you have other players around. They have the right glow and look like lightsabers. If you want to enhance or enhance the glow effect, you can experiment with different shader packs as they affect the way light is rendered in Minecraft. However, keep in mind that the original developer of the resource pack made no recommendations about what shader packs you should use. The resource pack developer decided to limit the changes to swords only. Even though there are other weapons in the game like bows, nobody has touched them. Bows and tools have the same pixelated and blocky look. The performance of Minecraft is almost not limited by the resource pack. Glowing 3D Lightsabers is a simple texture pack that doesn't upscale textures or play with lighting or anything else. It just changes the way swords look in the game. This makes it a great resource for PvP players who want a smooth running game. It also works great for PvE and players who use older computers to run Minecraft. If you are already using other source packs, you can install Glowing 3D Lightsabers on top. Make sure the resource pack is the last one you install as it replaces the existing textures and sword models in the game. However, it can lead to visual errors with certain resource packs or shader packs. As mentioned, the source pack uses emission textures. This means that it cannot be installed manually and will need to be installed using OptiFine. To ensure that the source pack works properly, the developer recommends using the latest version of the software to install Glowing 3D Lightsabers.
