That no longer applies. The A new set of Minecraft animation resources will rekindle your passion! Fresh Animations rocks. It makes Minecraft feel new. But why? Read on and let us share our knowledge. FreshLX updated Minecraft with Fresh Animations Texture Pack. Simple goal: enhance mob animations. Mob movements were choppy and limited to predictable forward, sideways, and backward movements before this resource pack. Installing Fresh Animations makes Minecraft a new game. Mobs are smarter now because they can jump, turn, run, and walk without looking jerky. Expect more from Fresh Animations, which is in beta. Three variations are offered. Villagers, Iron Golems, Witches, Vindicators, Summoners, Marauders, and Ravaging Mobs have new animations in 1.0. In version 1.1, Creeper, Zombie, Husk, Zombie Villager, Skeleton, Skeleton Wither, and Illusions get new animations. Download 1.2 for new pig, wandering salesman, phantom, and flame animations.
The developer says Minecraft dungeons and trailers inspired current and future animations. You may wish to revisit them to see the interesting things in store. Which is better? Fresh or vanilla Minecraft animations? Vanilla Minecraft can’t compete with Fresh Animations’ animation. Mobs move smarter with Fresh Animations. Vanilla Minecraft’s predictable and jerky animations can’t compete. Texture and visuals differ greatly. Note that this resource pack won’t compare Minecraft to HD PC games. Game core is unaffected by new animations. However, don’t expect new mechanics. No worries—it makes Minecraft feel like a fresh game without removing its original qualities. Fresh Animations Resource pack is light on computers. You don’t need to upgrade your gaming PC to enjoy it. You must install Minecraft’s Optifine game tool. Fresh Animations Resource Pack supports random and custom Optifine entities. To avoid duplicate downloads, use Optifine-HDU-G8, as older versions may not work with Fresh Animations 1.2.

How to install Fresh Animations Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download the Fresh Animations texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn’t affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
- Optifine required! This package will only work with Optifine and not without it!
- Please note that if you have other packages with Optifine CEM features, Fresh Animations will overwrite CEM and remove the animation.
- Player models cannot be animated yet as they are not currently supported by Optifine.
