The Faboopack Resource Pack has managed to amass tens of thousands of downloads in the many years since its release. Over time, with each update, the source pack has managed to change vanilla Minecraft in many different ways, making it look amazing without feeling too far removed from the original game. Among Faboopack's many achievements, the most notable are the improved textures. Using 128x resolution for textures gives room for more detail and less angular detail. It still retains Minecraft's typical blocky visuals, but with more texture detail. Trees look better with more detailed leaves. The same goes for grass, flowers, and other types of plants in the game. The weapons are also more detailed and less boxy. They no longer look like they are made of large pixels and appear to have improved 3D models.

Stone and brick blocks also look much better even when viewed up close. The same goes for wooden blocks, sand, gravel, and almost every block type in the game. These visual improvements are complemented by a change to the color palette. Colors are brighter and there is less noise. All textures seem much clearer and easier to distinguish from each other. The water and sky textures have also been improved. There is little in the game that hasn't been improved with the new textures in the Faboopack texture pack. Being a 128x resource pack means that this may result in some frame rate drops. Players with older systems should notice a performance decrease, as the texture resolution is 8 times higher than in vanilla Minecraft. The resource pack should be installed using Optifine HD or MCPatcher as it adds special features such as new sky textures. Faboopack also works well with shader resource packs that can further enhance and sharpen textures, shadows and reflections.

How to install FabooPack Resource Pack:

Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
Download the FabooPack texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
Click “Options” in the main menu.
Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
Click “Done”.
Click on “Resource Packs…” again.
Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
Click “Done” again.
The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
