Default Dark Mode Resource Pack 1.21 / 1.20

The Default dark mode resource pack is unique. Other than in-game textures, the default dark mode overhauls Minecraft’s GUI, which texture pack authors often disregard. Despite appearances, this resource pack is not the first. Many before this have made UI improvements, but not this much. Default Dark Mode cleans up every corner of the GUI, so you won’t see any unfinished business like the game’s original look. Minecraft’s comic-book-style pixelation is one of its main draws, but its interface is outmoded. It’s grayscale, so animated backgrounds don’t make it more fascinating. The interface doesn’t effect game play, as you might expect. Over time, the presentation can become drab and dismal, which can reduce your enjoyment of the game even if you don’t know it. Another drawback is that every menu outline seems same, nearly replicated.

In the options menu or a new game, buttons, colors, etc. don’t change. At first glance, the Default Dark Mode texture pack seems insignificant. Launch menu buttons appear darker. However, after you start playing, you find you’re using the GUI every few seconds. The inventory is darker with easy-to-read fonts. The anvil, crafting table, furnace, wizarding table, etc. are totally redone. Sharpened GUI edges give it a clean, modern look. On a mining expedition in a dark cave, you may worry about seeing your inventory, but that’s not true. The default dark mode resource packs’ authors got everything right, so you won’t have to strain your eyes to recognize anything. The fact that this resource pack will not affect game performance is another major bonus. This resource pack just recolors the interface, unlike standard resource packs that change in-game blocks and texture resolution and require higher PC components. The reduction in screen blue light will also reduce eye strain, which has health benefits. Finally, installing a resource pack is the same as any other, and there are several Java Minecraft versions for all types of gamers.

The default dark mode should work with all Minecraft versions: 1.21 – 1.20.6 – 1.20.5 – 1.20.4 – 1.20.3 – 1.20.2 – 1.20.1 – 1.20 – 1.19.4 – 1.19.3 – 1.19.2 – 1.19.1 – 1.19 – 1.18.2 – 1.18.1 – 1.18 – 1.17.1 – 1.17 – 1.16.5 – 1.16.4 – 1.16.3 – 1.16.2 – 1.16.1 – 1.16 – 1.15.2 – 1.15.1 – 1.15 – 1.14.4 – 1.14.3 – 1.14.2 – 1.14 – 1.13.2 – 1.13.1 – 1.13 – 1.12.2 – 1.12 – 1.11.2 – 1.11 – 1.10.2 – 1.10 – 1.9.4 – 1.9 – 1.8.9 – 1.8.8 – 1.8.1 – 1.8.6 – 1.8 – 1.7.10 – 1.7.9 – 1.7.4 – 1.7 – 1.6.4 – 1.6.2
