You'll see resource packs that take inspiration from many popular franchises. We have resource packs inspired by Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Star Wars and more. Sometimes we'll even see resource packs that are inspired by universes created by other games. Assassin's Creed II has one of the most amazing stories and is set in a great time. The Assassini Costruttori Resource Pack aims to change many aspects of Vanilla Minecraft in such a way that you can recreate iconic Italian buildings, scenes or cities from the Renaissance era. Assassini Costruttori was first released in mid-2011, making it at least a decade old. The original developer is known in the community as Steelfeathers. Even though he stopped updating the source package just a year later, the source package is still being downloaded today. It works with older versions of Minecraft, and since its first release, the source pack has managed to get over 200,000 downloads on several Minecraft sites where it has been published. The Assassini Costruttori resource pack increases texture resolution a bit. While vanilla Minecraft uses 16x, the source pack doubles the resolution to 32x. This means that there is more detail to admire on almost all textures in the game.

Since this is a source pack inspired by Assassin's Creed II and Italy during the Renaissance era, we can see many new textures for the regular blocks. There are new textures for pavements, walls, brick and stone walls, marble, limestone and more. Since grapevine was a staple drink in Italy during the Renaissance, the developer added vines to the game as well. There are also new textures for wheat and several new flowers. With all these new textures for resources and common blocks, it is possible to build real monuments that resemble real buildings from Italy. It just takes time and patience. What hasn't changed and could have been a welcome addition is the structure of the clouds, Sun, Moon and water. They remained untouched. The Assassini Costruttori texture pack is not that demanding in terms of performance. It doesn't use dynamic textures or any features that would cripple frame rates. Also, the texture resolution is not increased to a ridiculous level, so Minecraft with the source pack installed should run smoothly. If you want to take your visuals to the next level, you can also try using a shader pack. However, keep in mind that you may need to do some research to find a shader pack that works with the same version of Minecraft that is required for the Assassini Costruttori source pack. A shadow pack can also lower your framerate, but can improve sky textures and water realism.

How to install Assassini Costruttori Resource Pack:
- Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
- Download the Assassini Costruttori texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
- Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
- Click “Options” in the main menu.
- Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
- Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
- Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
- Click “Done”.
- Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
- Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
- Click “Done” again.
- The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
