The Glimmar's Steampunk Resource Pack which was originally developed for Minecraft version 1.4 is one of the most distinctive and well-known texture packs. Although it was created by the creators exclusively for Minecraft 1.4, it has now been designed to be compatible with practically all subsequent versions of Minecraft. The most commendable feature of this pack is that even though it has been around for more than eight years, it is still updated from time to time. Before that, Glimmar's Steampunk pack was relatively dormant until recently, when the creators gave it a big boost with an update to make it compatible with virtually all versions of Minecraft, even version 1.13, this update will of course eliminate any problems that users may face when using it. It is important to note that after applying the Glimmars Steampunk resource pack to your Minecraft, you may have to re-learn it and get used to it due to changes related to the resource pack, but this is not a big problem. after playing around with it for a while you can figure it out and get comfortable with it again. To get the most out of your Glimmar's Steampunk, we recommend using it together with Optfine. Optfine gives you access to many more features such as special mob animation, provides better lighting as well as attached textures and even animated weapons. The features available when using Optfine are more than what you have when using only the Glimmar resource pack. Finally, it's important to note that due to the x64 resolution of this pack, the computer you're running it on must be above average, allowing you to run it without any frame rate-related issues.

How to install Glimmar's Steampunk Resource Pack:

Most source packages require Optifine, so be sure to download and install it. – a general recommended step for all packages, Optifine is also needed for most shaders
Download Glimmar's Steampunk texture pack for Minecraft from the download section below. – if there are many different versions, just choose the one you like, is compatible with your version/edition of minecraft that you think your computer can handle in terms of performance.
Launch the game client via the Minecraft launcher.
Click “Options” in the main menu.
Click on “Resource Packs…” from the options menu.
Click “Open Resource Pack Folder”. – a folder named “resourcepacks” will appear.
Move the .zip file you downloaded in the first step into the newly opened “resourcepacks” folder.
Click “Done”.
Click on “Resource Pack…” again.
Your package should appear in the left window, just hover over it and click on the arrow pointing to the right.
QUICK TIP: Sometimes when activating a pack, the game may say that the pack is made for a newer or older version of Minecraft. This is just a warning, it doesn't affect your game in any way and you can still activate and enjoy the pack by just clicking “Yes” when prompted.
Click “Done” again.
The package has now been successfully loaded and is ready to use in your world!
